Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Surfjitsu is the relationship between surfing and Jiu Jitsu. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was born on the shores of Rio De Janeiro. Resulting in an initial clash between jiujiteiros and surfers, reciprocal benefits were soon established.
Notable world class surfers that practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) include Kelly Slater, Joel Tudor and Jeremy Flores.
When the surfing day is done, Nick heads over to his martial arts club North Shore BJJ in Newquay to teach. As well as being an active competitor and ambassador for Shoyoroll, Nick is a black belt and teaches under the affiliation of Roger Gracie black belt Kevin Capel.
