     Title: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Roger Gracie Academy Buckinghamshire dropped in at The Surf Club Cornwall for a weekend of Martial Arts and Surfing!

What a fantastic weekend! After the storm at the end of last week some much needed sunshine greeted the team from Roger Gracie Academy Buckinghmashire (RGAB)!

RGAB train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) under head coach Roger Gracie, BJJ is a grappling martial art that utilises locks and chokes to submit your oponent. Posture, body and breath control are key to success and this is where some of the similarities lie.

RGAB is lead by Kev Capel, Black Belt under Roger Gracie and joing Kev were some formidable purple belts, some blue belts and some white belts.

Following the lesson our surf shack came to life with some full sparring going down outside on the grass, on mats of course! Everyone was stoked to be able to train outside with the ocean in clear view, the sun shining and a barbecue underway.

RGAB have pledged to return and we are planning to invite more clubs to come down and train with us.

Head Surf Coach Nick Tiscoe is a blue belt and trains with Gracie Barra Cornwall, Nick welcomes any club to come down and surf and will happily lay the mats out for a grapple afterwards.

After some great surfing by all, some great BJJ sparring and a tasty barbecue the sun had to set on a fantastic weekend. Thanks for coming guys, see you on the mats - osssss!
