Winter Surfing
Big shout to those customers who braved freezing conditions with us over the New Year...

Despite freezing temperatures and even a hard frost covering the deck of the surf shack one morning we saw a record number of participants from as young as 7 years old taking to the ocean for surfing.
Rugging up in the 5 mil wetties, with heaters, boots, gloves and for some hoods too! We had visitors from all over the country and even as far as New York City!
The surf over the 5 days ranged from 2-6 foot and with very little wind and some sunshine it was perfect...
... and then it snowed!!!!
Unsurprisingly we havn't done too many lessons lately although they are on offer, we have been doing a bit of snowboarding on the coastal hiils though.
This week sees the return of the westerlies and with it some pumping surf so stay tuned!
